For the planning of the openning of a thriller, I thought that the colours of the threatenning element of the thriller. "The Knife." I thought I'd use the colours of black and white, normal, sepia and negative. Using a mobile phone I took the pictures and compared them on how they looked and made me feel, how they made my group feel and how a few members of the public related to it. Also seeing if they have any concept or idea of what the genre is meant to be.
The black and white image made them feel threated as if all of the tension was surrounded by the knife. The black and white effect made the public aware of the genre being film noir based.
Sepia made the audience feel that the knife was almost like a part of crime scene. The genre was described as The Bill or CIS type of film.
The normal effect didn't have much effect as it posed no threat. As they described it as a cooking environment.
Negative effect was described as almost like a Sci-Fi film as it seems to be glowing and it seems to pose a sort of threat to the man kind.
